The 501st Legion: Exploring Figma Make

The project

After attending a webinar on Figma Make, I wanted to test the tool’s potential through a personal project blending immersive design, accessibility, and AI-driven creation.
As a fan of the Star Wars universe and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I created a one-page website dedicated to the 501st Legion — a clone unit led by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker — as a tribute to the brotherhood and loyalty of the clones.
A non-commercial study project, created to explore new approaches to AI-assisted web design.

Problem

Explore how Figma Make can produce an immersive, coherent, and accessible website while preserving the visual and UX depth of the Star Wars universe.

Research

  • Visual research based on The Clone Wars aesthetics.
  • Application of WCAG 2.1 accessibility principles for proper contrast and readability.
  • Testing Figma Make’s customization limits (smooth scroll, modals, floating “liquid glass” header).

Solution

  • Creation of an immersive one-page website structured around key sections (Heroes, Jedi, Timeline, Quote, About).
  • Futuristic design inspired by Clone Trooper interfaces with a 501st blue palette, floating liquid-glass header, and interactive modals.
  • Every component follows accessibility standards with keyboard navigation and visible focus states.

Results

  • A cohesive prototype generated and refined with Figma Make.
  • A smooth and immersive user experience, fully accessible.
  • A proof of concept showing that AI tools can accelerate design without sacrificing UX quality.
