Foot01 – Mobile app
The project
At the start of my freelance career, I was contacted by the manager of the Foot01 website. He explained his urgent need for a redesign of the Android app, which suffered from poor ratings on the Google Play Store and an outdated design. After analyzing the requirements, I proposed a full redesign.
Problem
The Foot01 Android application suffered from an outdated design and low ratings on the Google Play Store. This situation hurt both its image and visibility, with users disappointed by the ergonomics and overall experience.
Research
- Initial briefing with the site manager to understand the challenges.
- Analysis of user feedback and comments directly on the Google Play Store page.
- Identification of pain points in terms of UX and design.
Solution
- Complete redesign of the application following Material Design principles.
- Creation of wireframes and mockups to modernize the interface.
- Enhanced user experience with clearer and smoother user flows.
- Development follow-up and user testing on in-progress versions.
Outcome
- A modernized application with a more attractive design aligned with Android standards.
- Significant increase in the app’s rating on the Google Play Store after the update on February 11, 2016.
- Happier users, as shown by the many positive reviews left since the redesign.

Since its release on the Play Store on February 11, 2016, users have appreciated this fresh new design. The application has improved its rating, as reflected by the numerous positive reviews posted after the update.
