HoloBleus – mobile app functionnality

The Project

For the 2018 World Cup, Wazapp, where I was working as a UI/UX Designer, was asked to deliver a “futuristic” feature: an Augmented Reality experience allowing fans to take photos or videos alongside our future World Champions.

We had very little time to complete it, and the feature had to be available on both Android and iO

Problem

For the 2018 World Cup, the French Football Federation wanted a futuristic digital feature that would let fans take photos and videos alongside the national team players in augmented reality. The challenge was to deliver a smooth, cross-platform experience on both iOS and Android in a very short timeline.

Research

  • Analyzed fan expectations for immersive and shareable experiences.
  • Studied technical constraints to ensure AR worked across devices.
  • Benchmarked AR usability to keep the experience simple and engaging.

Solution

  • Created HoloBleus, an AR feature with a minimalist UI and maximum user experience.
  • Applied the French National Team’s graphic identity to ensure brand consistency.
  • Optimized performance for a light, fluid AR experience on all smartphones.

Outcome

  • Successfully launched during the 2018 World Cup.
