User Experience & Product Design

UX/UI Design refers to two complementary disciplines that enable the creation of intuitive digital interfaces. These two fields are, respectively, UI Design and UX Design. A designer may specialize in both disciplines or focus on only one, depending on their expertise.

What is UI Design?

UI Design stands for User Interface and refers to its design. Within UI Design, we find the graphic elements, the layout, and the overall look and feel of the interface. We can also say that UI Design relates to interfaces that engage the senses (sight, touch, hearing). It can also be defined as everything that enables interaction with the user.

What is UX Design?

UX Design stands for User Experience and refers to how the user interacts with an interface. The main goal of UX Design is to provide the best possible user experience.
To achieve this, the designer goes through phases of observation, analysis, and testing to create a smooth and intuitive journey. Accessibility rules must also be taken into account.

What is Accessibility?

Web accessibility is a set of rules and guidelines aimed at making websites usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. An accessible website is easier for everyone to use, improves the user experience, and can even boost SEO. In fact, an accessible website is often better structured and easier for search engines to understand. Moreover, accessibility is a legal requirement in many countries.

What is Product Design?

Product Design is a holistic approach to product creation, from ideation to market launch. It covers the entire product lifecycle and considers user needs, technical feasibility, and business viability.

The Product Designer differs from the UI/UX Designer, who focuses mainly on the aesthetics and usability of the interface. By closely collaborating with different teams (development, marketing, and product management), the Product Designer defines the product strategy. This collaboration also makes it possible to design the user experience (UX) and the user interface (UI), ensuring the product’s success.

Why work with a UX/UI Product Designer

Improving the User Interface (UI)

A UI Designer applies design principles to create an attractive and consistent interface. By carefully selecting colors, fonts, and imagery, they make content easier to read and understand. They can also build a unique visual identity for your service or product, helping you stand out from the competition.

A product-oriented UI Designer has a global vision of the product. This allows them to design an interface that meets both user needs and business objectives. In doing so, they ensure a consistent user experience across all product touchpoints and contribute to optimizing the product for set goals (conversion, engagement, etc.).

In short, a product-oriented UI Designer is a valuable asset for creating high-performing, user-centered products.

Improving the User Experience (UX)

Through research and testing, a UX Designer seeks to understand users’ needs and expectations. With this knowledge, they can design interfaces that are more intuitive and easy to use. They organize information clearly and smoothly, ensuring the interface complies with accessibility standards such as the French RGAA (General Accessibility Improvement Guidelines).

Working with a product- and accessibility-focused UX Designer ensures your product is designed for all users, including those with specific needs. This can lead to greater user engagement, higher satisfaction, and stronger brand loyalty. Ultimately, it can also result in increased revenue and market share.

Positive Impact on Your Business

A well-designed UX/UI interface encourages users to take the desired action when visiting your site. This improves your conversion rate. Such a positive experience motivates them to return to your site or app, building loyalty. Finally, an attractive design also strengthens your company’s brand image.

... other benefits

By working with a UX/UI Product Designer, you can focus on your core business. This way, you avoid wasting time and money trying to do it yourself. Moreover, the UX/UI Product Designer brings expertise that your company may not currently have internally.

Service Process

How do I work?

The 4 key steps of a UX/UI & Product Design service with me (indicative and adaptable according to needs and projects).
01

First Contact

Discussion with the client about their needs, gathering information, requesting briefs, quotes, start date, etc.
02

Project Kick-off

Once the project begins, we stay in regular contact to discuss progress, share documents, content, and more.
03

Production

During this phase, I create the wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and other agreed deliverables (user journey maps, user testing, user flows, etc.). I also facilitate workshops, if required. We review and discuss the deliverables together to make the necessary adjustments according to your needs.
04

Project Completion

Once the project is finished, I request your full validation of the deliverables. I then provide you with access to all the files so you can begin the development phase. I remain available to discuss and, if needed, make small adjustments to the deliverables required by the developers.
